SSCOM inc runs sscominc.au so you can browse, buy and get support. This page explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, and how you can ask about it. Personal information is information that identifies you, or could reasonably identify you.

By using the site or placing an order you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the shop.

What we collect

Account details: name, email address, and a password stored hashed by WordPress. Order details: shipping address, phone, the items you bought, and notes you leave at checkout. Payment status from Stripe — we do not store full card numbers. Messages you send through the contact form. Device and usage information such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, which we may collect through the site host and basic analytics if your browser allows cookies.

Where it comes from

Directly from you when you create an account, check out, or contact us. Automatically from your browser when you use the site. From service providers who process payments (Stripe), host the site, or carry the parcel.

How we use it

To take payment, pack and ship orders, show tracking, handle returns and warranty claims, and reply to you. To keep the shop secure and to look into suspected fraud. To send order emails (these are not marketing). To send newsletters only if you joined the list — you can unsubscribe in any of those emails. To meet legal duties such as tax records.

Who we share it with

We share what is needed with Stripe, our hosting company, and the carrier that delivers your order. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the shop and other customers from fraud or abuse.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and consumer-law rules require, and then deleted or de-identified. Account details stay while the account is open. You can ask us to close the account.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold, or to close your account. Marketing emails have an unsubscribe link. Some cookies can be blocked in your browser; the shop may not remember your cart or login if you block everything.

To make a request, contact us. We may need to confirm it is you before we act. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Children

The shop is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes

We may update this page. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. The version on this page applies from that date.
